I believe that if you want truly unique gifts, then you have to seek them out from independent artists and artisans. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with getting gifts from Target, Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel. In fact, they have lots of wonderful, cute, ingenious and practical items that people can’t live without. I personally could peruse those stores forever. But gifts from independent artists have another level of specialness to them. They are painstakingly and lovingly created by hands. And behind those hands, there is a person with a unique story. These artists and artisans are small business owners who are courageous enough to control their own destinies. Who doesn’t love a great inspiring entrepreneurial story? All these add together is what make the personally created gift so much more special. With that, I am very excited to present a new series of interviews with these amazing people and their creations. Stay tuned if you want to find those unique gifts for the people you love!
